The Fluke 3000 is a great tool. It's designed use is for the computer and telecommunications fields. But it works great to find wires in walls too.
Ever wonder where that sneaky electrician ran a wire? Turn the circuit off, this tool isn't made to work at 120vac, then connect the transmitter to the wires. As long as the wires are not shorted together (like a light switch turned on, or something plugged in) you will find the wire easily. To make sure you have the correct wires, simply touch them together briefly, and the tone will change, verifying that you have the correct pair.
Works great through lath and plaster walls for pinpoint wire location.

I ordered the K-Tor Pocket Socket after being without power for three days (snow storm) and finding out that my Eton crank radio could not charge our iPhones (thanks A LOT Apple!! Not supported!!). The item was shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived considerably before I expected it and in good shape. The item is well made and it does what it claims to do. I tested it on my iPod 4G; have not on my iPhone 3G yet but see no reason it should not charge that also. Be aware that there is some serious resistance when turning this crank. I found the crank turns quite easily when you start but resistance is felt as soon as the charging process begins. It is not like turning the crank on an Eton radio and you will tire out more quickly than cranking a "doomsday radio". You will want to turn at a consistent rate rather than try charge your device quickly. All in all, a good product and a great feeling to buy something made in America again.

The plug has a very stiff and tough plastic housing with a top pivot and bottom bolts to hold everything together. Not waterproof or vapor proof but a a solid housing none the less. Easy to take apart and attach a cord and plenty of room for the thickest cables, up to 5/8". Strain relief design could be improved - I wrapped electrical tape around the cable to build it up so that the clamp would work as needed for strain relief.
Excellent documentation showing how to use the plug for different voltages and amperages which is most unusual. Not the first Hobart item I have bought and there other products are equally well designed and constructed.

I purchased this item to mate up with a Conntek 14301 RV Power Cord 25-Foot RV 50 Amp Male Plug To Bare Wire I use with a Generator Transfer Switch installed by my utility company. It works great.
This adapter allows me to use a smaller 5000 watt generator I have now, and later upgrade to a larger 10,000 watt generator which will have a NEMA 14-50 Outlet on its power panel.
The power company installed a Pass & Seymour Turnlok 50amp connector, part number CS6364NP, on the end of the Conntek 14301 RV Power Cord 25-Foot RV 50 Amp Male Plug To Bare Wire to plug into the Generator Transfer Switch.

I purchased this generator power cord after Hurricane Irene caused a tree to fall over and knock out power on my street. No power....much rain adds up to a basement sump pump not working which added up to 8 hours of sump pit bailing up and down the stairs for my wife and me. Bought a generator which I hope to never have to use and this cord is one of the accesorries. I have tested the gen. and this cord. Seems to work fine. Very heavy duty yet the wire is nice and flexible and brightly colored. Should do the job if needed. Looks well made and sturdy. Shipped on time. No complaints.

When hurricane IKE came through and took out power for over a week, power cords and generators were in demand and couldn't be found anywhere. This power cord allows me to connect a number of items including our fridge, portable a/c, TV, Radio and a couple of lights (I've tried it out and it works great). It's well made and a good price when compared to what I have found elsewhere. Delivery was quick with no surprises. This item coupled with the generator will make our next surprise visit more comfortable. Check your generator or power source for this type of locking plug since there are two types (three and four prong).
