Does what it should: It adapted a 4-wire 50-amp receptacle to my much older 3-wire Lincoln welder.Seems too much for an adapter, but it's a heavy-duty piece, and cheaper than calling an electrician to install a plug. Plus, I can take my welder elsewhere and still plug it in. Good product, I would recommend it.
