This product saves draging out the heavy cable to plug in my camper before leaving on a trip. I simply plug this adapter into my camper,then plug my 20amp cord into it just to get the fridg working and topping off the batterys. I would not try running the A/C hooked up like this.

i purchased this item because my local home depot did not have it in stock. i tried 4 different stores before i gave up and ordered this online. it works as described. i plugged in the AC cord from my APC 1U UPS (nema l5-30r) and then plugged this adapter to standard wall socket (nema 5-15p). knocked off 1star because of the slightly steep price + s&h.
